Creativity involves breaking out of established patterns in order to look at things in a different way. –Edward de Bono
Q: Where did the name Lucid Creativity originate?
A: The name Lucid Creativity was a name that I was brainstorming on since I was a child. For a long time, I was a person that got many of my ideas (poems and short stories) from dreams that I had and continued to have over the years. Over those times I was introduced to the process known as Lucid Dreaming. Lucid Dreaming was something I found intriguing, but the word lucid was what captured my interest the most. Because I have a habit of putting my dreams on paper and thinking of creative ways to further expand on the dreams I had. I thought it would be a great idea to combine the words Lucid and Creativity together and create something special.
Q: What is the purpose of this site?
A: The purpose of this site is for people to articulate themselves through the use of poetry, short stories and discussions (for right now). Also (respectful) constructive criticism is a great way for many of our works to get better. There is a part of the sight where there is a recommend literature list where we can all exchange ideas on books that we have read and would recommend for others to read. It would be a great idea to connect with people that appreciate good literature and enjoy engaging in conversations about different book titles. The book titles will be in alphabetical order and separated by genres so that it’s easier to maneuver around the sections. Any ideas that anyone has to improve this site i’m always open for new ideas.
